It's a Beautiful Day In The Lord

From 23rd Day It is a cooler today than it has been, and I'm grateful. I'm absolutely ready for fall, cooler weather, changing leaves, open windows and cool breezes, etc. It's been a rainy day, and for most that is a dreary, "blah" type day. It's a beautiful day in the Lord regardless! No matter how bad it looks outside, no matter how much joint pain kicks up, it's a beautiful day. I've spent the day with the kids, as well as working on baby items for my shop. Today it is baby skirts in newborn sizes, using little 5" squares in coordinated colors. I have several diaper covers in sizes small to large cut and ready to sew up too, in all different colors and prints. I'll be adding these to the shop as soon as I get them sewn up. Be a Light in this World

Let's face it, this is a dark world we live in. The farther we travel along, the darker it gets. But we don't have to be a part of that darkness. As believers, we walk in the Light of God's Word. We have His light shining in us, and we can share that with others. How? Love one another.. Tell others about Jesus. Use your gifts and talents to help others. Practice faith when the world would have us believe there is nothing left to believe in. You can do it! He believes in you!

It Really Is Ok

A week or so ago, on Valentine's Day, I finally made a decision I should have made a long time ago. I was at the Dr's office for a regular visit for chronic conditions, and it was there I made the decision. I decided it's ok to take care of myself. Over the past 18 years, I've been pretty much the hands on care taker for Kevin, and then 13 years ago Michael and Jessica after meeting and then marrying their dad. Instead of doing for myself as I should have, I chose instead to let things go. It was easier to take over the counter pain medicine for aches, pains, arthritis, etc. Choosing carbs and sugar to handle stress was easier than asking for help. Crawling under a blanket on the couch was way more comforting than going out and walking off the overwhelming load.
